Right now I'm in grade 8 advanced math (math 9) and I was just wondering if in grade 12 will I have to take Calculus or could I have a spare??

Grade 11 Math is actually the last mandatory math course for high school, so in grade 12 you do not have to take Calculus. You can have a spare if you'd like but when you get closer to grade 12, I would suggest talking to your counselor about which courses would be the best fit for you.
